        • FAC: Free Available Chlorine

        • TAC: Total Available Chlorine

        • TA: Total Alkalinity

        • CYA CONC. (NOT TO BE TESTED)

 

Please note that all results for the following test must be noted in the Pool Operator Log Book.

 

1) Pool Opening (Monday to Friday at 13:30 and on the weekend at 09:30)

        • The following tests must be completed 30 minutes prior to pool opening

        • Emergency phone must tested and you must advise the operator its only a test.

        • Inspection of fittings and covers: look at the ones around and inside the pool. If the covers inside the pool are removed or broken, we must close the pool by using the closed pool sign in the Terrace and Pool Volunteer Handbook.

        • Spine Board: Must be accessible

        • Pool Notices: Must be visible

        • Trowing Aids (2) (rope attached + reaching pole): Must be accessible

        • First Aid Kit: Must be accessible

        • Black Disc/Water clarity in middle of pool: If you can see the black dot in the middle of the pool from 9 meters, we are good to go. If it is not clear, we must close the pool by using the closed pool sign in the Terrace and Pool Volunteer Handbook. Please add a % in the Water Clarity box (grey colored box). Example, if the water is very clear, put 100%.

        • FAC, TAC, pH and TA tests are to be completed.

 

2) Tests every 4 hours (Monday to Friday at 17:30 and on weekends at 13:30, 17:30)

        • Insert the time of the test

        • Water clarity If you can see the black dot in the middle of the pool from 9 meters, we are good to go. If it is not clear, we must close the pool by using the closed pool sign in the Terrace and Pool Volunteer Handbook. Please add a % in the Water Clarity box. Example, if the water is very clear, put 100%.

        • FAC, TAC, pH are to be completed

        • TA and CYA CONC. are not to be completed.

 

Do not forget to put your initials when the test have been completed.
